Biography:
Aissata* was born in March 2013 in Mali. She started going to school at the age of four in 2017 in Mali. After arriving in Niamey, Niger with her parents, she continued her Preparatory Class (CP) then Elementary Class 1 (CE1) studies in 2019–2020. In 2020–2021, her family settled at the refugee site in Niger, where she continued with her schooling from Preparatory Class level onwards. Aissata* is currently in Middle Class 2 (CM2) in the school at Residential Site 1 (SR1 in French) for the 2022–2023 year. Aissata* has two younger brothers, a younger sister and an elder brother, two of whom are attending school, one in Initiation Class (CI) at the madrassa school and the other at secondary level in Year 5.
