COLOMBIA MYRP cover page

The second ECW-funded Multi-Year Resilience Programme (MYRP) in Colombia aims at strengthening the resilience of the country's education system in response to the complex challenges posed by internal armed conflict and the Venezuelan refugee crisis. Despite Colombia's open-door policy allowing Venezuelan children access to education, significant barriers persist, particularly for vulnerable groups such as refugees, migrants, internally displaced children, girls, adolescents, ethnic minorities, and those with disabilities. The programme seeks to reach 184,000 children across 15 municipalities across Colombia identified by partners including the Ministry of National Education. It focuses on promoting access to education, improving foundational learning, and ensuring safe educational environments, all with a strong emphasis on gender and disability inclusion.
