ECW Endorsement of COP28 Declaration on Climate, Relief, Recovery and Peace

ECW has endorsed the COP28 Declaration on Climate, Relief, Recovery and Peace which calls for bolder collective action to build climate resilience, particularly in fragile and conflict affected countries. In endorsing this declaration, ECW reaffirms its commitment to addressing the intertwined challenges of climate change, conflict and education in emergencies. Within its endorsement, ECW commits to make its First Emergencies Responses more climate-responsive and its Multi-Year Resilience Programmes climate-smarter, to support the Comprehensive School Safety Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction, to fund research on climate-resilient education, and to launch anticipatory action pilots.
