The ECW Multi-Year Resilience Programme (MYRP) 2021-2023 in Niger is dedicated to creating an environment where vulnerable children in crisis-affected communities can access gender-sensitive, inclusive, quality education. This includes children living with disabilities, internally displaced, refugees, and those in host communities, with a focus on promoting gender-informed inclusive education that addresses inequities. The programme aims to reach a total of 275,000 girls and boys, including adolescents, in four key regions – Tahoua, Tillaberi, Diffa, and Maradi. Of this target group, the ECW seed funding targets 61,000 children, including adolescents, in the two priority regions of Tahoua and Tillaberi. The programme has a strong focus on refugees (30% of total targeted), girls (50% of total targeted) and also aims to reach 2,600 children and adolescents with disabilities. Interventions cover the full spectrum of basic education, with 25% of the total beneficiaries in the early childhood education age bracket.
