The Education Response Plan for Refugees and Host-Communities 2018-2021 in Uganda is designed to enhance learning outcomes for over 567,000 refugee and host community learners annually. In regions like West Nile, where refugees outnumber locals, this plan, supported by the Ministry of Education, donors, and UN agencies, seeks to elevate education quality for both refugee and host community youths. The Plan - - the first to be supported by the ECW MYRP funding window - aligns with Uganda’s policies towards refugees and international frameworks. It upholds a core principle: ensuring access to quality education for all refugee children and adolescents, as well as for those within host communities, irrespective of their country of origin or their location within Uganda.
