This Overseas Development Institute (ODI) report commissioned by an Education Cannot Wait (ECW)-supported Global Partners’ Project, bringing together the Global Education Cluster (GEC), UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, and the Inter-agency Network for Education in Emergencies (INEE) presents a global framework for analysis of formal coordination approaches for education planning and response in emergencies and protracted crises. It summarizes the findings of six case studies conducted in Bangladesh, Chad, Democratic Republic of Congo, Ethiopia, Iraq and Syria.
